Pre-demographic dividend vs South Africa: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Pre-demographic dividend
- South Africa
How they compare
Pre-demographic dividend currently reports 10.65 Mt CO2e against 0.8452 Mt CO2e in South Africa, a difference of 9.8 Mt CO2e.
That makes Pre-demographic dividend's figure about 12.6 times South Africa's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Pre-demographic dividend has been ahead every year.
Pre-demographic dividend ranks 30th and South Africa ranks 30th of 45 groups.
Pre-demographic dividend has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
