Samoa vs Saint Lucia: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Samoa
- Saint Lucia
How they compare
Samoa currently reports 0.0035 Mt CO2e against 0.0033 Mt CO2e in Saint Lucia, a difference of 0.0002 Mt CO2e.
That makes Samoa's figure about 1.1 times Saint Lucia's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Samoa ahead.
Samoa ranks 174th and Saint Lucia ranks 175th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Samoa averaged higher in 4 and Saint Lucia in 2.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
