Slovak Republic vs Sri Lanka: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Slovak Republic
- Sri Lanka
How they compare
Sri Lanka currently reports 0.2531 Mt CO2e against 0.2389 Mt CO2e in Slovak Republic, a difference of 0.0142 Mt CO2e.
That makes Sri Lanka's figure about 1.1 times Slovak Republic's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Slovak Republic ahead.
Slovak Republic ranks 70th and Sri Lanka ranks 67th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Slovak Republic averaged higher in 2 and Sri Lanka in 4.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
