India vs Pacific island small states: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF over time
- India
- Pacific island small states
How they compare
India currently reports 122.6% against -5.2% in Pacific island small states, a difference of 127.8%.
That makes India's figure about 23.7 times Pacific island small states's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 34 shared years of data; in 1991 it was India ahead.
India ranks 41st and Pacific island small states ranks 38th of 203 countries.
India has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | India | Pacific island small states | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
Change of emissions (as %) of current year with respect to emissions in baseline year 1990 emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agriculture, energy, waste, and industrial sectors, excluding LULUCF.. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5). Negative values indicate that the emission level for that year is lower than the emissions level in 1990.
