Central Asia vs Suriname: Nutrient balance — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Central Asia
- Suriname
How they compare
Suriname currently reports 191.97 kg/ha against 36.65 kg/ha in Central Asia, a difference of 155.32 kg/ha.
That makes Suriname's figure about 5.2 times Central Asia's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Suriname ahead.
Central Asia ranks 15th and Suriname ranks 13th of 38 regions.
Suriname has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Central Asia | Suriname | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
