India vs Uruguay: Nutrient balance — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- India
- Uruguay
How they compare
Uruguay currently reports 111.23 kg/ha against 102.37 kg/ha in India, a difference of 8.86 kg/ha.
That makes Uruguay's figure about 1.1 times India's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was India ahead.
India ranks 33rd and Uruguay ranks 31st of 201 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, India averaged higher in 6 and Uruguay in 1.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
