Americas vs Bangladesh: Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- Americas
- Bangladesh
How they compare
Bangladesh currently reports 32.66 kg/ha against 3.07 kg/ha in Americas, a difference of 29.59 kg/ha.
That makes Bangladesh's figure about 10.6 times Americas's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Americas ahead.
Americas ranks 3rd and Bangladesh ranks 13th of 10 groups.
Across the 7 decades both report, Americas averaged higher in 5 and Bangladesh in 2.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Americas | Bangladesh | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
