Americas vs Qatar: Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- Americas
- Qatar
How they compare
Qatar currently reports 43.56 kg/ha against 3.07 kg/ha in Americas, a difference of 40.49 kg/ha.
That makes Qatar's figure about 14.2 times Americas's.
The two have swapped places 12 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Qatar ahead.
Americas ranks 10th and Qatar ranks 11th of 32 groups.
Qatar has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Americas | Qatar | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 4.37 kg/ha | 15.69 kg/ha | 11.32 kg/ha | Qatar |
| 1970s | 5.99 kg/ha | 13.43 kg/ha | 7.44 kg/ha | Qatar |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
