Bangladesh vs Western Asia: Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- Bangladesh
- Western Asia
How they compare
Bangladesh currently reports 32.66 kg/ha against 2.42 kg/ha in Western Asia, a difference of 30.24 kg/ha.
That makes Bangladesh's figure about 13.5 times Western Asia's.
The two have swapped places 5 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Western Asia ahead.
Bangladesh ranks 13th and Western Asia ranks 12th of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Bangladesh averaged higher in 2 and Western Asia in 5.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
