Bhutan vs Estonia: Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- Bhutan
- Estonia
How they compare
Bhutan currently reports 1.06 kg/ha against 0.9208 kg/ha in Estonia, a difference of 0.1392 kg/ha.
That makes Bhutan's figure about 1.2 times Estonia's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Estonia ahead.
Bhutan ranks 117th and Estonia ranks 120th of 201 countries.
Estonia has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bhutan | Estonia | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | -0.8595 kg/ha | 6.79 kg/ha | 7.65 kg/ha | Estonia |
| 2000s | -0.9164 kg/ha | 5.07 kg/ha | 5.99 kg/ha | Estonia |
| 2010s | -1.16 kg/ha | 3.39 kg/ha | 4.55 kg/ha | Estonia |
| 2020s | 1.25 kg/ha | 1.57 kg/ha | 0.3254 kg/ha | Estonia |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
