China, mainland vs Middle Africa: Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- China, mainland
- Middle Africa
How they compare
China, mainland currently reports 16.57 kg/ha against -1.51 kg/ha in Middle Africa, a difference of 18.08 kg/ha.
That makes China, mainland's figure about 11.0 times Middle Africa's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was China, mainland ahead.
China, mainland ranks 30th and Middle Africa ranks 14th of 186 countries.
China, mainland has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
