China vs Colombia: Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- China
- Colombia
How they compare
Colombia currently reports 21.84 kg/ha against 19.97 kg/ha in China, a difference of 1.87 kg/ha.
That makes Colombia's figure about 1.1 times China's.
The two have swapped places 14 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Colombia ahead.
China ranks 24th and Colombia ranks 21st of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, China averaged higher in 2 and Colombia in 5.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | China | Colombia | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
