China vs Least Developed Countries (LDCs): Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- China
- Least Developed Countries (LDCs)
How they compare
China currently reports 19.97 kg/ha against 0.4091 kg/ha in Least Developed Countries (LDCs), a difference of 19.56 kg/ha.
That makes China's figure about 48.8 times Least Developed Countries (LDCs)'s.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Least Developed Countries (LDCs) ahead.
China ranks 25th and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) ranks 22nd of 201 countries.
China has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
