How they compare

Serbia currently reports 6.01 kg/ha against 5.55 kg/ha in Ecuador, a difference of 0.46 kg/ha.

That makes Serbia's figure about 1.1 times Ecuador's.

The two have swapped places 5 times across 18 shared years of data; in 2006 it was Ecuador ahead.

Ecuador ranks 68th and Serbia ranks 66th of 201 countries.

Ecuador has averaged higher in every one of the 3 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Ecuador Serbia Difference Ahead
2000s 5.9 kg/ha 4.52 kg/ha 1.38 kg/ha Ecuador
2010s 8.27 kg/ha 4.07 kg/ha 4.2 kg/ha Ecuador
2020s 7.16 kg/ha 5.01 kg/ha 2.15 kg/ha Ecuador

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
