Malta vs Mongolia: Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- Malta
- Mongolia
How they compare
Mongolia currently reports 29.94 kg/ha against 28.32 kg/ha in Malta, a difference of 1.62 kg/ha.
That makes Mongolia's figure about 1.1 times Malta's.
The two have swapped places 6 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Mongolia ahead.
Malta ranks 16th and Mongolia ranks 15th of 201 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Malta averaged higher in 6 and Mongolia in 1.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Malta | Mongolia | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
