Namibia vs Suriname: Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- Namibia
- Suriname
How they compare
Namibia currently reports 1.05 kg/ha against 0.6567 kg/ha in Suriname, a difference of 0.3933 kg/ha.
That makes Namibia's figure about 1.6 times Suriname's.
The two have swapped places 20 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Namibia ahead.
Namibia ranks 118th and Suriname ranks 121st of 201 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Namibia averaged higher in 4 and Suriname in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Namibia | Suriname | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
