Afghanistan vs Yugoslav SFR: Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area over time
- Afghanistan
- Yugoslav SFR
How they compare
Afghanistan currently reports 3.94 kg/ha against 2.79 kg/ha in Yugoslav SFR, a difference of 1.15 kg/ha.
That makes Afghanistan's figure about 1.4 times Yugoslav SFR's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 31 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Yugoslav SFR ahead.
Afghanistan ranks 97th and Yugoslav SFR ranks 100th of 186 countries.
Yugoslav SFR has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Afghanistan | Yugoslav SFR | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 4.88 kg/ha | 7.48 kg/ha | 2.6 kg/ha | Yugoslav SFR |
| 1970s | 4.27 kg/ha | 9.04 kg/ha | 4.77 kg/ha | Yugoslav SFR |
| 1980s | 3.47 kg/ha | 10.25 kg/ha | 6.77 kg/ha | Yugoslav SFR |
| 1990s | 3.11 kg/ha | 5.62 kg/ha | 2.51 kg/ha | Yugoslav SFR |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
