Denmark vs Iceland: Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area over time
- Denmark
- Iceland
How they compare
Iceland currently reports 59.98 kg/ha against 52.52 kg/ha in Denmark, a difference of 7.46 kg/ha.
That makes Iceland's figure about 1.1 times Denmark's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Denmark ahead.
Denmark ranks 30th and Iceland ranks 27th of 201 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Denmark averaged higher in 5 and Iceland in 2.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
