Estonia vs France: Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area over time
- Estonia
- France
How they compare
France currently reports 24.04 kg/ha against 22.12 kg/ha in Estonia, a difference of 1.92 kg/ha.
That makes France's figure about 1.1 times Estonia's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was France ahead.
Estonia ranks 58th and France ranks 57th of 201 countries.
France has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Estonia | France | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 35.78 kg/ha | 75.9 kg/ha | 40.12 kg/ha | France |
| 2000s | 32.45 kg/ha | 49.94 kg/ha | 17.49 kg/ha | France |
| 2010s | 30.07 kg/ha | 32.96 kg/ha | 2.89 kg/ha | France |
| 2020s | 24.84 kg/ha | 29.33 kg/ha | 4.49 kg/ha | France |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
