Israel vs Portugal: Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area over time
- Israel
- Portugal
How they compare
Israel currently reports 48.36 kg/ha against 45.07 kg/ha in Portugal, a difference of 3.29 kg/ha.
That makes Israel's figure about 1.1 times Portugal's.
The two have swapped places 9 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Portugal ahead.
Israel ranks 33rd and Portugal ranks 36th of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Israel averaged higher in 2 and Portugal in 5.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
