Slovakia vs Suriname: Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area
Nutrient balance — Cropland potassium per unit area over time
- Slovakia
- Suriname
How they compare
Suriname currently reports 3.02 kg/ha against 2.76 kg/ha in Slovakia, a difference of 0.26 kg/ha.
That makes Suriname's figure about 1.1 times Slovakia's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 31 shared years of data; in 1993 it was Slovakia ahead.
Slovakia ranks 101st and Suriname ranks 98th of 186 countries.
Slovakia has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Slovakia | Suriname | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 28.01 kg/ha | -1.65 kg/ha | 29.65 kg/ha | Slovakia |
| 2000s | 18.4 kg/ha | 7.2 kg/ha | 11.19 kg/ha | Slovakia |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
