Bhutan vs Kazakhstan: Outputs — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Outputs — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Bhutan
- Kazakhstan
How they compare
Kazakhstan currently reports 15.73 kg/ha against 14.46 kg/ha in Bhutan, a difference of 1.27 kg/ha.
That makes Kazakhstan's figure about 1.1 times Bhutan's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Kazakhstan ahead.
Bhutan ranks 179th and Kazakhstan ranks 176th of 201 countries.
Bhutan has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bhutan | Kazakhstan | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 16.78 kg/ha | 9.59 kg/ha | 7.18 kg/ha | Bhutan |
| 2000s | 18.93 kg/ha | 12.68 kg/ha | 6.25 kg/ha | Bhutan |
| 2010s | 28.94 kg/ha | 15.92 kg/ha | 13.02 kg/ha | Bhutan |
| 2020s | 17.8 kg/ha | 17.18 kg/ha | 0.6181 kg/ha | Bhutan |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
