USSR vs Zimbabwe: Outputs β Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Outputs β Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- USSR
- Zimbabwe
How they compare
USSR currently reports 3.68 kg/ha against 3.47 kg/ha in Zimbabwe, a difference of 0.21 kg/ha.
That makes USSR's figure about 1.1 times Zimbabwe's.
The two have swapped places 8 times across 31 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Zimbabwe ahead.
USSR ranks 164th and Zimbabwe ranks 167th of 201 countries.
Zimbabwe has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | USSR | Zimbabwe | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 3.12 kg/ha | 5.32 kg/ha | 2.2 kg/ha | Zimbabwe |
| 1970s | 4.07 kg/ha | 6.02 kg/ha | 1.95 kg/ha | Zimbabwe |
| 1980s | 4.08 kg/ha | 5.29 kg/ha | 1.21 kg/ha | Zimbabwe |
| 1990s | 4.22 kg/ha | 4.41 kg/ha | 0.1888 kg/ha | Zimbabwe |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
