Brazil vs Northern Africa: Seed — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Seed — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Brazil
- Northern Africa
How they compare
Brazil currently reports 2.65 kg/ha against 0.6333 kg/ha in Northern Africa, a difference of 2.02 kg/ha.
That makes Brazil's figure about 4.2 times Northern Africa's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Brazil ahead.
Brazil ranks 20th and Northern Africa ranks 25th of 186 countries.
Brazil has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
