Least developed countries vs Pre-demographic dividend: Total greenhouse gas emissions excluding LULUCF
Total greenhouse gas emissions excluding LULUCF over time
- Least developed countries
- Pre-demographic dividend
How they compare
Pre-demographic dividend currently reports 1,981 Mt CO2e against 1,728 Mt CO2e in Least developed countries, a difference of 253 Mt CO2e.
That makes Pre-demographic dividend's figure about 1.1 times Least developed countries's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Pre-demographic dividend has been ahead every year.
Least developed countries ranks 34th and Pre-demographic dividend ranks 32nd of 45 groups.
Pre-demographic dividend has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of the six greenhouse gases (GHG) covered by the Kyoto Protocol (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulphurhexafluoride (SF6)) from the energy, industry, waste, and agriculture sectors, standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values. This measure excludes GHG fluxes caused by Land Use Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF), as these fluxes have larger uncertainties. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
