Turkmenistan vs Uganda: Total greenhouse gas emissions including LULUCF
Total greenhouse gas emissions including LULUCF over time
- Turkmenistan
- Uganda
How they compare
Turkmenistan currently reports 127.45 Mt CO2e against 113.07 Mt CO2e in Uganda, a difference of 14.38 Mt CO2e.
That makes Turkmenistan's figure about 1.1 times Uganda's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 24 shared years of data; in 2000 it was Turkmenistan ahead.
Turkmenistan ranks 44th and Uganda ranks 45th of 176 countries.
Turkmenistan has averaged higher in every one of the 3 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Turkmenistan | Uganda | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2000s | 76.95 Mt CO2e | 54.16 Mt CO2e | 22.79 Mt CO2e | Turkmenistan |
| 2010s | 99.32 Mt CO2e | 93.94 Mt CO2e | 5.38 Mt CO2e | Turkmenistan |
| 2020s | 124.49 Mt CO2e | 110.31 Mt CO2e | 14.18 Mt CO2e | Turkmenistan |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of the six greenhouse gases (GHG) covered by the Kyoto Protocol (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulphur hexafluoride (SF6)) from the energy, industry, waste, agriculture, and land use, land use changes, and forestry (LULUCF) sectors, standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
