Bangladesh vs Eastern Europe: Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Bangladesh
- Eastern Europe
How they compare
Bangladesh currently reports 60.43 kg/ha against 12.59 kg/ha in Eastern Europe, a difference of 47.84 kg/ha.
That makes Bangladesh's figure about 4.8 times Eastern Europe's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Eastern Europe ahead.
Bangladesh ranks 23rd and Eastern Europe ranks 19th of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Bangladesh averaged higher in 4 and Eastern Europe in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bangladesh | Eastern Europe | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
