How they compare

Suriname currently reports 86.23 kg/ha against 22.74 kg/ha in Central America, a difference of 63.49 kg/ha.

That makes Suriname's figure about 3.8 times Central America's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Suriname ahead.

Central America ranks 11th and Suriname ranks 11th of 32 groups.

Suriname has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
