Estonia vs Fiji: Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Estonia
- Fiji
How they compare
Estonia currently reports 18.99 kg/ha against 18.07 kg/ha in Fiji, a difference of 0.92 kg/ha.
That makes Estonia's figure about 1.1 times Fiji's.
The two have swapped places 6 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Estonia ahead.
Estonia ranks 105th and Fiji ranks 108th of 201 countries.
Across the 4 decades both report, Estonia averaged higher in 3 and Fiji in 1.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Estonia | Fiji | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 13.18 kg/ha | 16.59 kg/ha | 3.4 kg/ha | Fiji |
| 2000s | 16.39 kg/ha | 15.48 kg/ha | 0.9083 kg/ha | Estonia |
| 2010s | 19.42 kg/ha | 15.25 kg/ha | 4.17 kg/ha | Estonia |
| 2020s | 20.76 kg/ha | 16.16 kg/ha | 4.6 kg/ha | Estonia |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
