Ethiopia PDR vs Vanuatu: Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Ethiopia PDR
- Vanuatu
How they compare
Ethiopia PDR currently reports 2.35 kg/ha against 2.08 kg/ha in Vanuatu, a difference of 0.27 kg/ha.
That makes Ethiopia PDR's figure about 1.1 times Vanuatu's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Vanuatu ahead.
Ethiopia PDR ranks 188th and Vanuatu ranks 191st of 201 countries.
Vanuatu has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Ethiopia PDR | Vanuatu | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 1.15 kg/ha | 2.09 kg/ha | 0.9445 kg/ha | Vanuatu |
| 1970s | 1.26 kg/ha | 2.5 kg/ha | 1.25 kg/ha | Vanuatu |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
