Mauritania vs Russian Federation: Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Mauritania
- Russian Federation
How they compare
Russian Federation currently reports 8.17 kg/ha against 7.58 kg/ha in Mauritania, a difference of 0.59 kg/ha.
That makes Russian Federation's figure about 1.1 times Mauritania's.
The two have swapped places 8 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Russian Federation ahead.
Mauritania ranks 143rd and Russian Federation ranks 141st of 201 countries.
Across the 4 decades both report, Mauritania averaged higher in 3 and Russian Federation in 1.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Mauritania | Russian Federation | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 6.38 kg/ha | 7.55 kg/ha | 1.17 kg/ha | Russian Federation |
| 2000s | 5.92 kg/ha | 5.32 kg/ha | 0.6055 kg/ha | Mauritania |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
