How they compare

Mongolia currently reports 59.58 kg/ha against 11.74 kg/ha in Small Island Developing States (SIDS), a difference of 47.84 kg/ha.

That makes Mongolia's figure about 5.1 times Small Island Developing States (SIDS)'s.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Mongolia ahead.

Mongolia ranks 25th and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) ranks 22nd of 201 countries.

Mongolia has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
