Northern Europe vs Viet Nam: Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Northern Europe
- Viet Nam
How they compare
Viet Nam currently reports 53.97 kg/ha against 37.44 kg/ha in Northern Europe, a difference of 16.53 kg/ha.
That makes Viet Nam's figure about 1.4 times Northern Europe's.
The two have swapped places 11 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Northern Europe ahead.
Northern Europe ranks 3rd and Viet Nam ranks 2nd of 29 groups.
Across the 7 decades both report, Northern Europe averaged higher in 4 and Viet Nam in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Northern Europe | Viet Nam | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
