Qatar vs Southern Africa: Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Qatar
- Southern Africa
How they compare
Qatar currently reports 63.31 kg/ha against 10.33 kg/ha in Southern Africa, a difference of 52.98 kg/ha.
That makes Qatar's figure about 6.1 times Southern Africa's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Qatar ahead.
Qatar ranks 22nd and Southern Africa ranks 24th of 185 countries.
Qatar has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Qatar | Southern Africa | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
