South-Eastern Asia vs Turkmenistan: Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Volatilisation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- South-Eastern Asia
- Turkmenistan
How they compare
Turkmenistan currently reports 109.95 kg/ha against 28.56 kg/ha in South-Eastern Asia, a difference of 81.39 kg/ha.
That makes Turkmenistan's figure about 3.8 times South-Eastern Asia's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Turkmenistan ahead.
South-Eastern Asia ranks 6th and Turkmenistan ranks 8th of 29 groups.
Turkmenistan has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | South-Eastern Asia | Turkmenistan | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 18.68 kg/ha | 31.23 kg/ha | 12.55 kg/ha | Turkmenistan |
| 2000s | 21.73 kg/ha | 37.87 kg/ha | 16.14 kg/ha | Turkmenistan |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
