Analysis
In 2024, carbon dioxide (co2) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Chad stood at 0.2641 Mt CO2e. That is the highest value across all 55 years on record.
Compared with earlier readings it is up 1.4% on the previous year and up 126.1% over ten years.
Over the whole period, carbon dioxide (co2) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Chad peaked at 0.2641 Mt CO2e in 2024 and was at its lowest, 0.0087 Mt CO2e, in 1993.
Chad ranks 143rd of 193 countries on this measure, in the middle of the range.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from industrial combustion (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.2 Manufacturing Industries and Construction. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
