Analysis
In 2024, carbon dioxide (co2) emissions from power industry (energy) in Cambodia stood at 3.93 Mt CO2e.
Compared with earlier readings it is up 1.0% on the previous year and up 158.9% over ten years.
Over the whole period, carbon dioxide (co2) emissions from power industry (energy) in Cambodia peaked at 5.13 Mt CO2e in 2020 and was at its lowest, 0.0155 Mt CO2e, in 1970.
That places Cambodia 89th out of 194 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the middle of the range.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from electricity and heat generation (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.1.a. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
