Analysis
Azerbaijan recorded 0.0019 Mt CO2e for methane (ch4) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in 2024.
Compared with earlier readings it is down 5.0% on the previous year and up 35.7% over ten years.
Over the whole period, methane (ch4) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Azerbaijan peaked at 0.0097 Mt CO2e in 1991 and was at its lowest, 0.0009 Mt CO2e, in 2010.
That places Azerbaijan 126th out of 193 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the middle of the range.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from industrial combustion (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.2 Manufacturing Industries and Construction. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
