Analysis
The most recent figure for methane (ch4) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Philippines is 0.0665 Mt CO2e, measured in 2024.
Compared with earlier readings it is up 4.2% on the previous year and down 8.3% over ten years.
Over the whole period, methane (ch4) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Philippines peaked at 0.0842 Mt CO2e in 2017 and was at its lowest, 0.0106 Mt CO2e, in 1970.
That places Philippines 33rd out of 193 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the top quarter.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from industrial combustion (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.2 Manufacturing Industries and Construction. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
