Analysis
In 2024, nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from building (energy) in New Caledonia stood at 0.0044 Mt CO2e.
Compared with earlier readings it is up 4.8% on the previous year and down 30.2% over ten years.
Over the whole period, nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from building (energy) in New Caledonia peaked at 0.0063 Mt CO2e in 2014 and was at its lowest, 0.0007 Mt CO2e, in 2006.
That places New Caledonia 151st out of 197 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the bottom quarter.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the building sector (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 codes 1.A.4 Residential and other sectors, 1.A.5 Non-Specified. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
