Analysis
In 2024, nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from building (energy) in Slovenia stood at 0.0376 Mt CO2e.
Compared with earlier readings it is down 0.3% on the previous year and down 12.1% over ten years.
Over the whole period, nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from building (energy) in Slovenia peaked at 0.0524 Mt CO2e in 2001 and was at its lowest, 0.0059 Mt CO2e, in 1980.
That places Slovenia 117th out of 197 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the middle of the range.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the building sector (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 codes 1.A.4 Residential and other sectors, 1.A.5 Non-Specified. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
