Analysis
The most recent figure for nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from building (energy) in Syrian Arab Republic is 0.0571 Mt CO2e, measured in 2024.
Compared with earlier readings it is up 0.5% on the previous year and down 25.3% over ten years.
Over the whole period, nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from building (energy) in Syrian Arab Republic peaked at 0.258 Mt CO2e in 2007 and was at its lowest, 0.0297 Mt CO2e, in 1970.
That places Syrian Arab Republic 98th out of 197 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the middle of the range.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the building sector (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 codes 1.A.4 Residential and other sectors, 1.A.5 Non-Specified. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
