Analysis
The most recent figure for nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from building (energy) in Ukraine is 0.4035 Mt CO2e, measured in 2024.
Compared with earlier readings it is up 1.1% on the previous year and down 16.3% over ten years.
Over the whole period, nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from building (energy) in Ukraine peaked at 1.59 Mt CO2e in 1988 and was at its lowest, 0.3709 Mt CO2e, in 2022.
Ukraine ranks 30th of 197 countries on this measure, in the top quarter.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the building sector (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 codes 1.A.4 Residential and other sectors, 1.A.5 Non-Specified. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
