Analysis
Czechia recorded 0.0442 Mt CO2e for nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in 2024. That is the lowest value across all 55 years on record.
The figure is down 5.4% on the previous year and down 4.3% over ten years.
Over the whole period, nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Czechia peaked at 0.2265 Mt CO2e in 1979 and was at its lowest, 0.0442 Mt CO2e, in 2024.
That places Czechia 49th out of 194 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the top quarter.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from industrial combustion (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.2 Manufacturing Industries and Construction. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
