Analysis
The most recent figure for nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Oman is 0.0086 Mt CO2e, measured in 2024.
The figure is up 3.6% on the previous year and up 7.5% over ten years.
Over the whole period, nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Oman peaked at 0.0131 Mt CO2e in 2007 and was at its lowest, 0 Mt CO2e, in 1970.
That places Oman 94th out of 193 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the middle of the range.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from industrial combustion (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.2 Manufacturing Industries and Construction. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
