Armenia vs Iraq: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Armenia
- Iraq
How they compare
Armenia currently reports 0.2477 kg/ha against 0.1154 kg/ha in Iraq, a difference of 0.1323 kg/ha.
That makes Armenia's figure about 2.1 times Iraq's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Iraq ahead.
Armenia ranks 179th and Iraq ranks 180th of 191 countries.
Iraq has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Armenia | Iraq | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 0.3049 kg/ha | 1.76 kg/ha | 1.46 kg/ha | Iraq |
| 2000s | 0.3539 kg/ha | 1.98 kg/ha | 1.62 kg/ha | Iraq |
| 2010s | 0.3793 kg/ha | 0.5311 kg/ha | 0.1517 kg/ha | Iraq |
| 2020s | 0.3048 kg/ha | 0.3677 kg/ha | 0.0629 kg/ha | Iraq |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
