How they compare

Djibouti currently reports 212.66 kg/ha against 190.79 kg/ha in Brazil, a difference of 21.87 kg/ha.

That makes Djibouti's figure about 1.1 times Brazil's.

The two have swapped places 5 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Brazil ahead.

Brazil ranks 2nd and Djibouti ranks 1st of 176 countries.

Across the 7 decades both report, Brazil averaged higher in 4 and Djibouti in 3.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
