Brazil vs Paraguay: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Brazil
- Paraguay
How they compare
Brazil currently reports 190.79 kg/ha against 146.87 kg/ha in Paraguay, a difference of 43.92 kg/ha.
That makes Brazil's figure about 1.3 times Paraguay's.
The two have swapped places 10 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Brazil ahead.
Brazil ranks 2nd and Paraguay ranks 3rd of 191 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Brazil averaged higher in 3 and Paraguay in 4.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
