How they compare

Brazil currently reports 190.79 kg/ha against 27.3 kg/ha in Southern Asia, a difference of 163.49 kg/ha.

That makes Brazil's figure about 7.0 times Southern Asia's.

The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Southern Asia ahead.

Brazil ranks 2nd and Southern Asia ranks 5th of 176 countries.

Across the 7 decades both report, Brazil averaged higher in 6 and Southern Asia in 1.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
