How they compare

Canada currently reports 19.57 kg/ha against 18.48 kg/ha in Mozambique, a difference of 1.09 kg/ha.

That makes Canada's figure about 1.1 times Mozambique's.

The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Mozambique ahead.

Canada ranks 27th and Mozambique ranks 29th of 191 countries.

Across the 7 decades both report, Canada averaged higher in 3 and Mozambique in 4.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
